The abrasion caused by the penetration of the arrows in the target causes a noticeable wear of the tungsten points over time and make it necessary to find solutions capable of mitigating this deterioration while guaranteeing a high level of efficiency. In order to overcome this problem, we apply a thin layer of titanium nitride (5 µm thick) after the machining of our points, which provides both a black appearance, but also very good technical characteristics to protect and increase the surface hardness of the ogive when it is subjected to strong friction/abrasion.
